Cathedral have been credited with leading a resurgence of interest in the Doom Metal scene, previously a very underground phenomenon using early Black Sabbath and occult 70's rock as it's blueprint. The band released 7 albums with Earache and several EP's, before continuing a career that lasted until 2014.
