Booka Shade's second album Movements was released in May 2006 on Get Physical Music, the label the duo co-founded. Twenty years on, it returns as a 2LP in celebration of it's 20th anniversary, with a new sleeve design by HORT, the studio behind the original artwork, and new liner notes from Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger.Movements carried five singles - Body Language, Mandarine Girl, Darko, In White Rooms and Night Falls. Resident Advisor called it "quite simply one of the best albums of the year", and Pitchfork placed it at number 50 on it's list of the top 50 albums of 2006.In their liner notes, Arno and Walter describe wanting music with a hymnic quality that could take over an entire room: deep, dark club elements mixed with almost pop-like melodies and hooks, built from small, simple, organic analogue sounds with a lean, crisp and direct mix. Their studio motto at the time: "Less is more - reduce it to the max."This edition presents the original twelve tracks across four sides, from Night Falls to Lost High, including Mandarine Girl, In White Rooms and the album's own interpretation of Body Language.
