In close collaboration with Belgian scholars, they have created a program that impressively combines historical research with artistic imagination. Hadewijch's Old Flemish texts and songs are surprisingly sensual; the ceaseless quest for courtly love is reflected in nature, in spring and in the movement of the stars. The music ranges from calm and melancholic to lively and stirring, and even rhythmically accentuated. The vocal ensemble is accompanied by a selection of medieval instruments.
